Maternity Photography
It all starts with the amazing experience of pregnancy. While all pregnancies have certain things in common, your pregnancy is solely your own. As a Maternity Photographer, I desire to capture that personal experience of your individual pregnancy. This is a time in your life like no other and I will take the time to work with you to create images that capture the full realm of your personal thoughts and emotions as you anticipate the coming of your new baby.
Partners, spouses and/or other children are all welcome to be a part of your maternity sessions. I'm sure you'll love your maternity photos.

Newborn | Baby Photography
As a parent, I am well aware of just how quickly our children grow. I'm constantly torn between my eager desire to see them grow into the people they will become and the longing to have them never grow older. There is never, ever enough time in the day for me to spend with my children and still do everything else I need to get done.
Many photographers speak of their love for photography... the art of a great composition, the manipulation of lighting and camera settings for just the right effect and so on. While I enjoy these aspects of photography, it is the final product rather than the process that drives me. And by "final product" I mean more than an image on photographic paper or fine art canvas, but rather the emotional bond between parent and child which has been enhanced by that image.
In other words, I am all about creating an experience, rather than a picture; emotions, rather than images; memories, rather than decorative wall prints. I merely use the latter as a format to accomplish the former.
In my family, I know what I desire for myself, my wife and our children when it comes to family prints. More than pretty wall art, I want the experiences, the emotions, and the memories that go with the images. Just as these images have brought blessings to my own family, my passion is to share these blessings with you as well.

Toddler | Child Photography
What happened? When did she start crawling? How did he start walking already? It was only yesterday that she couldn't hold her head up by herself... he wasn't even able to roll over.
Does it ever seem that it is all going by far too quickly? How do we as parents get the hands-of-time to stand still, at least for a little while? Well, you already know what I'm supposed to say next. After all, I'm a Child Photographer.
As a Children's Photographer, I am supposed to tell you to get wonderful images of your child... and of course you should get them from me, this will stop the hands-of-time and all will be right with the world.
Well, that's not really how I see things. I really don't want you to have wonderful images of your child because I'm a photographer, rather I'm a photographer because I want you to have wonderful images of your child.
I'll let you in on a little secret, I'm a dad first and a photographer second. I don't speak about children growing too quickly because it's good marketing text, but because my children are growing too quickly.

Tweens | Teens Photography
What happens when a child reaches junior high? Change takes on a greater significance. This is a time of discovery, of peer pressure and of figuring out one's place in the world. Longing to be a young adult and yet, still somewhat clinging to childhood, your 11-12 year old is trying to make sense of it all.
What about teenagers? Particularly middle to upper teens have begun to find themselves. They are turning into young adults with hopes, dreams and plans for the future. Their interests are more established and more important to them now.
Tweens | Junior High Photography
This is a great time to capture the moments of these years. Additionally, this is a great time to encourage your child to be involved in the process. A sure recipe for a less than engaging photo session at this age, is to tell your child where he has to go, what she has to wear or how he has to pose.
Both as a Candid Photographer and an On-location Photographer, EverydayChild Photography, is perfectly suited to photograph your child at this age. We not only allow, but encourage parents and children to do what they do best be themselves. We want you and/or your child to do your favorite things in your favorite places and we want you to do it with little to no direction from us. I have literally had children of this age breathe a heavy sigh of relief when I explain this to them before their session.

Ahh, the teenage years. Self reliance, independence your baby is not your baby anymore. This is the time to get those last few treasured images of your child before he / she breaks out on his / her own altogether.
As with the junior high photography, this is an opportunity for your child to express his / herself; to be involved in the photographic process; to show their own sense of style. Here again, EverydayChild Photography is perfectly suited for photographing teens. Our photo journalistic approach encourages teens to be themselves and to do their own thing. As a Senior Photographer, I've had seniors (and sometimes parents) thank me for not having them pose with a giant prop of their graduation year.

One of the best things about being a candid Family Photographer is not only experiencing the joy, the laughter, the warmth and sometimes even the hurts associated with daily family life, but also the fact that I get to freeze these tender moments-in-time for family members to treasure forever.
For me, the only thing better than capturing the true personality of an individual, is capturing the true personality of two or more individuals being themselves as they interact with each other.
This is why we are not a traditional Portrait Photography Studio. It's difficult (dare I say, nearly impossible) to get genuine interaction between two people when they are taken out of their usual comfort zone and placed in an unfamiliar portrait studio. Now, surround them with cables, large studio lights and backdrops, point a camera (on a large studio stand) at then and say to them, "Just relax and act naturally."
At EverydayChild Photography, we will make every effort to help you feel right at home beginning with encouraging you to have your session right in your own home or anywhere else you and your family members feel most comfortable.
Rather than thinking of your session as "The Big Photo Shoot," you might think of it, instead, as a usual day in your usual life which happens to be caught on film (digital film, that is). Think of us as your own personal Paparazzi (minus all the negative connotations associated with the Paparazzi, of course).

What's better than a favorite image of your child? How about 2, 3, 5 or even 9 favorite images of your child? More commonly known as collages (this is the name we tend to use, due to it's familiarity), these custom designed prints are often referred to as storyboards as well. "Storyboard" is actually (in my opinion), the better of the two names... at least when it comes to an EverydayChild Photography print. Our collages / storyboards do tend to tell a story of either a particular portion of your photo session or of your session as a whole.
Our clients love our collages. Currently, the vast majority of our clients have purchased at least one collage from their photo session(s)... we must be doing something well. Each collage is custom designed with images hand-picked by EverydayChild Photography. Many factors are taken into consideration during the selection process to provide each client with the most artistically pleasing combination of images. Your complete satisfaction, however, is our prime concern and images may be substituted by request for an additional fee... though this has rarely been requested as most of our clients have been thrilled with our creations as they are.
Collages make a great addition as you plan to decorate your walls with images from EverydayChild Photography. As always, we look forward to serving you and telling the story of you and your family.

Due to the inherent differences among computer screens, images contained in our galleries will look different from one computer to the next. As a result, we'd like to offer a simple screen calibration tool (below) to aid in optimizing your screen's settings. To calibrate your screen for optimal viewing you will need to familiarize yourself with your screen's brightness/contrast and color adjustment controls.
